Introduction

Gaoqiao Petrochemical is located in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, covering an area of 4.2 square kilometers. Its production facilities consist of two parts: the old Gaoqiao zone and the new Caojing zone, with total assets of 19.3 billion RMB. It is one of Sinopec’s key construction projects for a ten-million-ton refining base and a clean oil production base. As a backbone enterprise for refined oil supply in Shanghai, it is also the only fuel-lubricant refining company in the Yangtze River Delta region. The company currently operates 76 production units, including a single-set 8-million-ton/year atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit, an 800,000-ton/year continuous catalytic reforming unit, a 1.2-million-ton/year catalytic gasoline adsorption desulfurization (S Zorb) unit, a 3-million-ton/year diesel hydrotreating unit, a 1.4-million-ton/year hydrocracking unit, a 300,000-ton/year lubricant hydrotreating unit, and a 200,000-ton/year phenol-acetone unit. It has an annual refining capacity of 12.5 million tons, an annual chemical product capacity of 1 million tons, and a thermal power installed capacity of 175,000 kW. Its main products include gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, lubricant base oils, paraffin wax, phenol, acetone, polybutadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, ABS, polyether, DCP, and others.
